Dear Families,

On behalf of the staff of École Poirier Elementary, I would like to thank you for a wonderful School Year.  This year was filled with opportunities for students to solve problems, work hard, meet challenges and celebrate successes.  Thank you for your contributions and support.

I especially would like to thank you for welcoming to the school and Sooke.  My transition to Poirier couldn’t have gone smoother and it was made possible by an amazing staff, wonderful students and welcoming families.  Merci!

I hope your summer is filled with many adventures, lots of laughter and time with your family.   I would encourage our students to read every day.  Books, comics, magazines…. it doesn’t matter what you read, but keeping the skill  of reading is a wonderful habit for our students.

Please read the attached letter from the School District for a description of the Core Competencies comment on your child’s report card.

Have a terrific summer!
